Who are We?

We’ve been showing you a lot about what we do here at Kids Nook, but we haven’t really introduced ourselves. We are Kids Nook, Istanbul’s only bi-lingual children’s bookstore, storytelling academy, and party house!

We do a lot of activities here, including storytellings in both Turkish and English, weekly Sensory Storytimes for ages 1-6, and birthday parties.

For those of you who speak English, we have the city’s most extensive collection of English children’s books. We’re talking about classics like Going on a Bear Hunt, The Gruffalo, Maisy books, and Richard Scary’s stories! We even have books for older children, such as Junie B. Jones, Judy Moody, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and more! Of course we also have books in Turkish, featuring award winning authors such as Sara Şahinkannat and Feridun Oral.

If you’re the kind of person who wants to share the love of reading with your child very early, don’t worry! We have you covered! We have a wide selection of board books, touch and feel books, and lift the flap books just for your little one.

Outside we have our very own tree house and cafe (catered by the excellent Dream Day Cafe). Our goal was to create a space where children can play in a safe space, while also giving mom’s a chance to relax.

So if you’re ever in our neck of the woods, feel free to drop by! We’d love to meet you and your family!
