Ah fall, the time for sweaters, warm drinks, and… the sniffles. As much as we may try to prevent it, sometimes getting the occasional sniffle and flu is just inevitable. At least that’s the case for the main character in this picture book, The Sniffles for Bear. But luckily for this bear, he has a great friend to take care of him!
The Sniffles for Bear
by Bonny Becker
Illustrated by Kady MacDonald Denton
Bear is ill! And like most of us when we’re ill, he’s also a little bit grumpy and a tinsey winsey bit melodramatic.
“I’m suffering! I’m dying! I’m living my last moments!” he announces to his friend Mouse.
But does Mouse leave Bear alone? Of course not! He stays by him and helps him for as long as Bear needs it.
Of course, helping our friends can have some consequences… but I’m sure Bear will be up to the task after having such a good nurse!

Thanks for sharing this book. A good message about friendship. I hope it touches on hygiene!

It does in a roundabout way, but mostly it’s a humorous book about taking care of your friends 🙂
