Anger is a part of life, no matter whether you’re a human or a dinosaur apparently. Expressing this emotion can be difficult, especially for children. Like most of the “How Do Dinosaurs…?” books, “How Do Dinosaurs Say I’m Mad?” is here to help kids understand how to deal with life… through dinosaurs.
How Do Dinosaurs Say I’m Mad?
by Jane Yolen and Mark Teague
This book starts off with some funny, and exaggerated cases of some bad tempers.
It’s funny to see how silly the dinosaurs look when they’re pouting or throwing a fit. By doing this, it allows both parents and kids to laugh at these situations which they wouldn’t normally be able to laugh at in real life.
There are some great moments in the book too, like when the dinosaur throws a mug at a cat!
But of course in the end our dinosaur friends find the right way to deal with their anger, sending a good message to all readers about how to handle the grumpies.
