This week at Sensory Storytime we had a visit from one of our old friends: The Very Hungry Caterpillar! We made special little houses for him, fed him lots of food, and then even made some pillows to remember our time together! Take a look below the cut to see some memories from our cool activity!
Pete’s a pretty cool cat isn’t he? We sure think so, and so do our kids at Sensory Storytime! They loved Pete and his white shoes so much they decided to make some shoes of their own!
First they had to pick out their favorite colored “shoe strings” (made of colored spahgetti)/
Then they mixed the blueberries and strawberries together.
After that we painted our shoes to make some great designs!
But oh no! Everything got washed away! Now we had our white shoes again!
Do you have your own cool ways of playing with Pete the Cat? Let us know in the comments below!
This Saturday is Valentine’s Day, and I’ll be the first to admit that it’s one of my favorite holidays! There’s just something so refreshing about a holiday that injects a little color and love into the middle of a gross snowy winter.
Here are some great ideas to help you celebrate this special day with your kids!
